Jamie and I were at Windrock in Oliver Springs.
Were climbing the last hill on trail seven when on the obstacle the engine sputtered and died. I was trying to keep it alive and let the truck roll back into something that turned it over. We rolled once corner to corner and then an unknown number of times side to side before basically flying off of a cliff.
While in flight we struck a tree with my door and A pillar which removed the roof from the chassis and the chassis from the frame. We landed upside down and crawled out of the wreckage. Michael Schaffer took us to UT Hospital.
Joe Monroe, Matt Reid, and Nate Reid gathered up as much as they could of the truck and parts and hauled them out that night.
The next day an incredible number of people came out to rescue the truck. (More than 30 people and approx 10 trucks) The truck came out easily and was loaded on a trailer.
Jamie and I suffered minor injuries. Jamie did have to get stitches. We are quite lucky to be alive. I am even more convinced of that after seeing the wreckage and reconstructing the events yesterday while everyone worked to remove the truck.
