The first thing that you GET to do is remove all the stuff under the
front. This includes the spring
hangers and everything.

After you get everything off, you can start by putting on the front
hanger. You will have to add some
width to the frame. 3 inch angle is the best for this. You will need to add gussets to re-enforce
the
angle iron. Once the front is on, measure the spring and weld the back hangers on. Notice
that the
solid or pivot point is on the front.

After the hangers have been welded on, you can go ahead and bolt up the
springs. This way you can
just use a jack to raise the axle up to bolt it on to the springs. It's a lot easier this
way then it is to try to
line up both springs at the same time.

After setting up the front axle, gears, bearings, u-joints, etc, raise
it up and bolt it on to the springs with
u-joints. The top plate will probably have to be made. If you do, be sure to add an angle
to strengthen
the plate. Also, don't forget to hook up the brake lines.

One last look at the front before putting on the brakes and tires.
